Save yourself a lot of trouble

This has to be the worst place my fiancee and I have ever lived in!! We have had more problems happen than we have had fixed and we are running out of fingers and toes to count them on!!

Neighbors: The noisiest people in the world! We have had to countlessly call the police for noise ordiances and the police stop the noise but the landlord doesn't. I went twice to go tell them to keep them down. When they reviewed it in the office when i was sitting there, they had the wrong number apartment, so apparently my complaint went to someone who was totally innocent and i got so guilty over it. They don't pay great attention. Their music is the bassiest thing ever. It literally shakes our entire apartment and we also hear them screaming through our roof vent and they are one level under us which is ridiculous. I could even post a sound sample to show how loud they are.

The particular building i live in is rather almost notorious for having drug addicts or drunks galore!! The same neighbors who are so loud we swear we smell pot almost on a daily basis and the police never find anything which upsets us to death. Even particular neighbor has been caught outside drinking on a bench not even with a bag over the bottle, which is already illegal as well as very questionable for kids to see which there are a decent amount of children from 3 to 14 years old.

As for the pet policy, they claim that you are not allowed to have more than 2 cats on your lease. Relooking over the form, there are spots of the form that make it sounds as if small dogs were allowed. The form also does not have a typed or written proof of having only 2 cats. there is only 2 spots on the form that do have places to write down your pets, but no where does it say that 2 are the max. I was forced to give up one of my cats just to abide to the lease.

I once also suffered a fire in one of my two apartments I was there. The cause of the fire was because the defrost rod in the back of the freezer got too hot. My kitten at the time wouldn't leave the side of the fridge. Later the very first night we brought him home the fire happened. Very fortunately he was rescued by a neighbor who was a great person in the first building i lived in. The first building was full of very friendly people. After it happened the reimbursed us 50 bucks and a free security deposit to our current apartment now which is a one bedroom. We lost nearly 100 dollars in food and abput 40 in dishes. I feel more entitled to what i lost but i just left it as it was since it was a very stressful situation.

The management and workers are indeed friendly, but it sometimes seems like they act friendly only when you address a problem to them. Once its done fixed (or to where they THINK its fixed), then they go back to the office and just lolligag until the next complaint comes in. They do get their jobs done when its done but they don't really take their time. My garabage disposal had worked then quit working. Then quit again then started to leak really bad. But the man who fixed that was very polite and got it done and was happy to do it.

They really should also take better care of the people who park there. There have been countless numbers of times I see cars in no parking zones at hours at a time.

Also I never seen bed bugs this bad. My first apartment in Newport had them bad but i was actually able to live with them. But here, if you forget or don't do one thing right in the preparation of exterminators, they charge you 50 bucks. I would find it more useful to just stop treating them if they dont cooperate. If people really wanted them gone they would do the bare minimum and at least be sprayed. Its not enough to clean it all by yourself. You need it sprayed so you CAN clean. One day they didnt even spray my apartment and charged me 50 bucks just because it wasn't to their liking. Technically she paid for what they wouldnt spray and they expect me to pay something they didn;t do' I understand I haven;t been the best at being prepared but i make it acceptable so they can get in and out. But my place itself isn';t too bad on bed bugs but i Can't say the same for other buildings.

The manager has come to me a couple of times to address some problems so something can be done. She complained how bad my apartment smelled because of my cats. First off, the neighbor directly across from me has 2 cats as well, so it couldnt just be me. I could probably 4 neighbors i dont even know in my building that i have seen cats in. She also seems to have a problem addressing any types of problems to my fiancee. One day when she tried to call me, she called her instead and in the mesage she asked her to have ME get in contact with her rather than the one is more availible since I work night shift and I am normally asleep from 7am to at least 3pm if the neghbors aren't being so loud. Its almost sexist since she doesn't address my fiancee.

Another thing I have seen. At the beginning of summer all residents were given extensive lists and notices on pool rules. Some of the rules inculdes not so risque appearances and no drinks unless they have a cat and even no pool toys. I seen i dont know how many pool toys over there. It seems almost selective that I been aimed at for specific things and others arent. thanks to how nasty some of the neighbors are me and my fiancee never got to go to the pool even once this year.

We have a one bedroom apartment but only one ac unit and they wanted to charge us an extra 15 bucks a month to our already high rent payment. Our apartment is really hot in the bedroom and its so bad we have to sleep with 3 fans on with the window open just to get air. Our room also has an old ac unit.they said take out the filter and clean it to get more air. I took it out and i swear i have never seen so must dust in my life and it was all even wet so i had to practically peel it all out.

This place also seems like it was poorly put together. The corners are full of paint creases and other things feel like its either cramped or painted over. The look and feel is just not cozy as it should feel.

Lastly the one room we move into was vacant from dec 08 all the way until the middle of may and we still havent figured out why it was vacated for so long. We had never had a problem with this place until we were placed into our new room and everything has just been downhill from here. I understand i HAVE broken some of the lease rules and sometimes unable to fix somethings and i can admit im not the cleanest or tidiest person in the world, but this is almost an eye for an eye and its embarassing.

Do yourselves a favor and don't come here unless your budget really is that small. this is a good enough place for a small budget, but i make enough to the point i know i can get something better than this. I feel sorry a lot of my innocent neighbors who go through the same stuff as we have to.
