I was so excited to move into Oxford Hills, brand new complex, just built and reasonably priced. But...

I had a bad feeling about this place from the time I gave my security deposit of 450.00 dollars then on move in day I didn't even get the apartment I was promised.

The management is a joke, I was also told I could have pets for an additional 25.00 a month (one of the reasons I moved in) then I was told I was misinformed. Huh' Okay.

The parking is a joke, I was given a sticker to put in my car and was told without it your car would be towed, we have broken down cars that have been in the same spot for months. Nothing done after several complaints.

The maintenance men are very dirty, and RUDE. During the summer my air conditioner was out for 1 week, I called and complained several times. The solution' The manager told me to grab my mattress and he would let me sleep in an empty apartment until it was fixed. On top of that when the air conditioner was fixed my fiancee's wallet was on the table and magically 300.00 disappeared from it! Nothing was done by the manager to solve this problem.

-My underwear have been stolen from the laundry room.
-My brand new car was keyed
-The pool is unsanitary, so bad that the Health Department was called to investigate
-Despite being brand new, I live with Cocky the cockroach and all of his lovely friends. My apartment had been bombed and sprayed on 3 separate occasions
-During the winter, nothing is done when it snows. The parking lot is not plowed unless you threaten to call the local media.
-There is one dumpster, it is so bad that trash piles out of it into the street.
-You live within paper thin walls, in all I would consider the apartments very cheaply built.

The apartments were built right behind a run down Section 8 building, the cops are here all the time, I've been told by a Taylor Mill police officer that I live in the worst place in Taylor Mill. Drug Dealers are using kids for runners, teenagers are soliciting sex, and there are 2 sex offenders nearby. Great

In my building a guy actually shot his gun through his door into another apartment. Luckily no one was hurt, once again management did nothing about this problem.

Despite all this I will say for the price the apartments are very big, the bathroom does have a garden tub, and the electric bill is reasonable, but nothing can overcome all the other hell.

So, disregard the adds of a quiet, charming place to live, (the weekends here are a college party) and the 2 months rent free special. I went for it and needless to say I can't wait until my lease is up

This is a very honest review. I experienced many of these same problems at Oxford Hills.

I have never personally seen roaches and the pool has been nice since I moved here in 2006, however noise is a problem. I lived here 6 months with no problems then one bad neighbor moved in at the begining of April & the cops have allready been at her apartment 3 times in less than 2 weeks. Now every teenager in the complex is 2 doors down from me drinking at her place all weekend. The complex is only as nice as the people you live around.

I agree with the last review! I had very quiet neighbors and was at the very end so I was very lucky!

I am surprised by the comments. I moved here from Cinti where I lived in a new very expensive complex. I had noisy neighbors and bug problems which made me decide to move. I also wanted to be closer to work. So that can happen anywhere. These are very nice roomy units and priced very reasonably. I have never seen a bug of any kind in my unit and I have been living there since 2005. I have never had any problems with the management. Any time I call about a problem they are very prompt and polite. My issues get handled right away.I have left money and jewlry out and never had anything taken. I am fortunate the unit I live in has neighbors that have been there for a while and they are very nice and we look out for each other.It is not the fault of the complex if you have bad neighbors that can happen anywhere. Apt living is never easy.
