I read these reviews, but didnt listen to them before I moved in and now I am worried I will pay the price.

These apartments are very nice, they have some very nice features, the pool, fitness room, a washer and dryer (which we love), and a ton of space and storage. However, Customer service is terrible. Please listen to me and other reviews when they say you will be treated poorly, but only when something is wrong, or they think you did something wrong.
Example:

The parking lot was recently paved, there were signs posted forever to have cars moved by a certain time. However, there was a vehicle left in front of my building. Note, it was neither mine or my husbands, and they started calling me AT WORK!!! leaving NASTY, rude messages telling me to move my car if it was mine. They did the same to my husband. Terrible. There is a way of handling situations with some class, this place does not know how.

Also,
our winter electric bill was THROUGH the roof, thanks to OLD windows. The wind blows directly though them.(my curtains blow with the wind. and you can hear EVERY step outside the doors and upstairs. these apartments are very loud.

If you enjoy rude, smarmy, catty notices about pet waste,(even if you dont own a pet) or being talked down to by your landlords when you pay good money (and on time) then this place is for you.

It is easy to get sucked in by the looks and the apartment size and space, but at some point you will have to deal with these people, and they are RUDE, unprofessional and TRASHY.

Please dont make the same mistake that we did. Please listen to the POOR reviews on this site. THEY ARE TRUE!!!!!!!!

I am scared to death to put in my 60 day notice because I am afraid things are going to get worse and the warnings about losing the notices and extra 1500 dollars will come true.

The apartments are great, the staff is horrible..
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..... beware.

My wife and I are surprised by all the bad remarks about this place? We have been here 10 years now and we have never seen anything like this from the manager on down the line of employees who work here. We are no one famous or anyone special and we have always been treated very nice and with courtesy by all who work here and out maintenance problems are taken care of within hours and within a day or so. So we do not understand all the complaints about the Farm Apartments here. Just my 2 cents worth posting this

Do you live in the same apartment complex as I do? Because I have posted here in the past I get a notice when someone reviews The Farm. After reading your review I had to respond. I am going on 6 years living here at the farm and never one time have I experienced a rude, unprofessional or trashy person working in the office or outside of the office. I have always experienced helpfulness, experienced, professional and a positive attitude from all. When I ask for something to be fixed, it gets done. An example of this would be about 2 months ago. My washer quit working mid cycle on a Monday night. I called the office at around 10am on Tuesday morning from work. When I arrived home on Tuesday evening I had a replacement washer installed and ready to go. One cannot get better service than that. If that is unprofessional then bring on all the unprofessional maintenance workers. The maintenance workers here at the Farm are top notch. I trust them implicitly to do the job to the best of their ability each and every time I call with honesty and integrity. I would not trade them for the world. As for your parking lot experience, I received a call from the office a few years ago because like a dork I forgot and left my car where is was not supposed to be when they were repaving. They left a message and the call was very professional. To be honest according to the flyers that were posted about month in advance, they could have towed my car without the courtesy call. I am thrilled they called me; I believe it does show class to give me a 2nd chance even though I am the goofball that forgot. One side note: one can see they take care of the place because it has been repaved two or three times since I have been here. As far as the apartments being loud, maybe I just have great neighbors but the only sounds I hear are in the hall when someone slams a door when they leave or come home. Other than that the apartments are very solid. The rude, smarmy catty notices about pet waste that you refer to are welcome at my apartment anytime. I am a pet owner myself and nothing infuriates me more than to step in a little something that an inconsiderate neighbor and their little dog Toto left for me to track into my home. Also, I always take the parts of the notices that you must be referring to as catty just innocent attempts by the management to inject a little light humor so as not to come off rude. Hey, that is just me; maybe I look at the world with a different set of glasses. I am a grown-up so I realize that if a notice does not apply to me then it was not meant for me, so ignore it. If I took every public notice everywhere here at work etc??personally, I would be offended and ticked off all the time. I would think that it would be a logistical nightmare for a complex this size to sit down and go through all the residents?? files, separate and deliver an individualized notice that only applies to that particular apartment. Have you looked around? This is a large place. You should not be scared to put in a 60 day notice. If you are following your lease agreement why would you be? As with any agreement that you would fulfill, make sure to cover yourself. It only makes good business sense to copy and keep records of all your transactions with anyone you have a binding agreement with. I love this place but you can bet I make sure my rear is covered. If you have kept up your end of the bargain and keep good records for yourself then you are golden. Good luck with your move

In response to the response.... I have lived in many other apartment complexes in many other cities, and have never been treated or talked to or received notices that were as unprofessional as they are here. About the Car. We actually DID NOT leave our car there, as you did, and I think its AWESOME that they gave you another chance and were polite about it, you deserve that good treatment. However the car in question was not ours, and there was no reason for the really rude messages, if i had the messages still for the world to hear I would post them on here. And I am thinking about grabbing the notices and posting them on here just so people can see how rude they really are. The apartments ARE loud. This is an HONEST STATEMENT. I have GREAT neighbors, they are fantastic, you can just hear EVERY move they make, and if you are on the outside bedroom or near a stairwell or hallway, you Hear EVERY single noise. (Doors, people on stairs, even the mailboxes opening.) I am not making these things up or worse than they are. Thats just how it is. And I want people to know what they are getting themselves into should they choose to live here. I am glad that people are having nice experiences there, mine have not been that bad, just things that people should know about going in. things that I wish did not happen to me. I think that it is important that people read the comments of other peoples experiences here (good and bad) and weigh the pros and cons and see if this is the right place for them. And I think its important to note that all negative comments posted here have fallen in line with each other, most of us with most of the same issues. If this is Farms Staff writing these responses... Please take the comments that are negative toward your complex, and FIX THEM. Even if just ONE person honestly experiences these negative things, no matter what kind of glasses they wear, they still had a negative experience, and good customer service means that you do everything that you can to make it right. So do it, instead of trying to defend yourself. It doesnt matter about anyone else having a good experience. How hard is it to just be curteous, fix your windows so your tennants arent paying all that rent and then insane electricty bills in the winter, and just write a short reminder of pet waste, or any other reminders you may have and leave out the light humor, that way you dont offend people like me who are so easily upset, or overly sensitive.. because we do live here, and also, train your main. staff a little better... You should want to make EVERYONE happy. Still worried about putting in my 60 day notice the lease will be up here in 3 or 4 months. (I am nervous because of previous posts) But I know this is not the place for me I wish it was because the space is great!
