I lived in the Lofts from 2003-2004. The day we were supposed to sign the lease it wasn't ready so we had to wait an extra day to move in. When we did finally move in the apartment was not cleaned at all. I had to do all the cleaning. There were dead flies and ants in the windowsills, the carpet was dirty and the refrigerator and stove were all dirty. Throughout our lease we had nothing but problems... First in the summer our air would shut off at least 2 times a month and it would be so hot, plus the ac would leak water all over the carpet and we had to call maintenance every time it happened and then in the winter the heat would mess up every now and then and we had to buy an electric heater just to keep warm. Also during our lease we had a mold problem in our bathroom. We called the manager about it and the maintenance guys came and all they did was cover it up and my husband and I even our dog all got sick from it, the toilets clogged all the time for no reason. You heard everytime someone would come home or leave cause you either heard the door slam or heard them going up the steps. The laundry room sucked cause there are eight apartments trying to use one washer and dryer it wasn't worth the wait. Plus you had to use a laundry card and if you ran out of money and the office was closed you had to wait till the next business day to recharge your card. The dryer didn't even work half the time and when it did you had to run your clothes through 3-4 times before they were dry. Overall I would not recommend this place for anyone to live. Yeah the rent is cheap but so are the apartments.
