In the short time we have lived here we've found this community lacking in regards to security and safety. The community's governing body to completely ignore the safety of it's residents. There use to be a security guard who patrolled the grounds, he even complained of problems to management. Lets just say their way of handling things is to remove the only security guard that's on duty. Not even one (1)guard on the grounds anymore.Cops are driving through here all the time. There's even been a shooting! When you speak to the office about problems with people mistreating their property or residents property or vehicles, they show little concern and jusy say, "Oh well, call the cops. We are a "gated" community...well that's a joke, the gates are constantly broken and left that way! Yes, I agree the apartments are spacious for the cost, but in my opinion, not worth the aggrevation. "Some" neighbors are very kind and curtious, yet many others who don't display any respect. One of our neighbors had too move out prior to his lease expiring at Acadian Place. The AC was broken and they would not fix it. It's a shame good neighbors like him are left with no recourse but to move. The grounds......well most definitly can be kept better. For example, the dumpster area has garbage left sitting out, which is very unsightly!!! All in all, I would NOT recommend this community to anyone!!!!.
