Azalea Point is certainly not a luxury apartment. You won't have periodic maid service. You have to provide your own flat-screen TV. It's not walking distance to LSU. You're also not allowed to make your neighbors miserable by having long, loud parties during the night.

There's nothing remarkable about this place at all. But a one-bedroom apartment is $575 a month, it's only a little for $700 for a two-bedroom, and barely $900 for three bedrooms. If you can find a place cheaper and better, live there.

You won't get a big, clean pool infested with fratboys and sorority bots, but you'll get a pool. You won't have brand new, fantastic appliances that provide "personal massages" while you attempt to cook your ramen or other easy, lazy food product. But you will have appliances that produce the heat necessary to make something fit for consumption.

Your fridge won't automatically make and dispense ice. But ice trays are cheap.

Your neighbors won't be lard-ass rich kids from North Louisiana, sorry to say. But they might shut up for a few hours each night so you can sleep.

Your parking lot might flood, but the water will never get in your car unless you're some sort of douche who had his car/truck lowered. In that case, you deserve it. Douche.

So, now, let's talk about management. Everyone seems to hate Connie. Why' She has been nothing but nice to me. But I mean, I guess I get special treatment because, you know, I pay my rent on time, go to bed at night, try to minimize filth in the apartment, and don't ----- about changing lightbulbs and other things that college kids can't seem to figure out.

Is it a safe place to live' Of course not. Even if it was gated it wouldn't be safe, you tools. Baton Rouge is over 50% black (OMG RACIAL STATISTICS!)

Hmm, so what about maintanence' Well, I don't know because things that broke in my apartment I was able to fix myself because I was raised correctly. There were no major costly repairs that needed to be done.

Anyway, I'm sick of ranting. The bottom line is that this apartment complex is not terrible. It's cheap, mediocre, and if mommy and daddy aren't paying your rent, I'd just live here while you save up for a house like the rest of society.

No, not statistics!! Stereotypes!! This only shows how ignorant some people can be. If I'm not mistaken, BLACK people arent the ones shooting up the schools and killing themselves!! And all crimes do not surround around black people. To bad you're probably just a dumb blonde that doesnt know her right from left!! You're not spoiled either, youre just a dumb brat!!

wow. you are a complete douche. i lived there for two years, did not have mommy and daddy paying my rent, and had my camry (clearly a car that you do not LOWER) flooded twice. Not to mention the complete disrespect i got from Connie every time i tried to get them to fix ANYTHING. unless you threaten her, or get your parents to call and threaten her, she will not listen to you or attempt to help you at all. it's pathetic. i have always been very independent and taken care of my own issues, but i actually had to get my parents to call and take care of getting a new a/c unit since my bill was consistently not working and i was paying hundreds of dollars a month and she could not be bothered to call in an expert to tell her a 20 year old unit probably should be replaced. they should just destroy the place and start over

wow 12/31/08 anon is soooo the writer of this review. Blah. I liked it all because some people think they have to have the redcarpet treatment in their cheap apts. However, I did NOT love the racial stereotype. Whether BR is over 50% black or not, doesn't make it unsafe. You could have just as well said Baton Rouge is a mid-size, growing city and wrapped up the crime stats that way. Are you one of those people that clutch their purses when a black person walks by? Shame on you. Not all of them are criminals. You make our race look so evil and judgemental. :(
