Azalea point is a really good deal for the space/location. or maybe i just suck at finding good deals? I really enjoyed living there. Compared to the bigger newer complex i lived in on burbank this was really nice.
i know people who live there and have very slow service when it comes to fixing things, but it was the exact opposite for me and my roommate. all their appliances are really old, and we had to go to the offices to get the fridge fixed once, the door fixed once, and twice to fix the AC. it took them a while to get to the fridge(a couple of weeks), but when i told them my AC was broken they fixed it within a couple of hours and the same with my front door. From what i hear, this isn't typical, but still, that's pretty amazing.
one of the things i liked the most about the apartments (i know this sounds silly) is there was always parking right next to my apartment. in my old apartment, on party nights, i'd have to walk quite always passing loud obnoxious parties, getting hit on by strange guys, and it was annoying. i guess this isn't as much of a problem for guys, but for girls it makes you feel very unsafe. brightside isn't the best area in baton rouge, but it definitely isn't that scary. i've lived in baton rouge my whole life, and i definitely don't consider brightside to be in a bad part of town. on the downside, parking for guests can be rather difficult and they'll tow you in a second on busy nights.
i never heard any noise from any other apartment. we had really loud parties, and no one ever complained. there would be like 25 people in my apartment at a party and you could barely hear it from outside the front door.
also, the apartments are pretty spacious, most of them (if not all) have a patio/balcony. i think the one bedroom and two bedroom apts have a really good/convenient layout. and there's so much closet space! it's terrific! theres a pretty good amount of cabinet/counter space in the kitchen.
other silly things i liked is that the apartments don't have whitewalls and uncomfortable furniture you have to pay for. you can choose if you want a washer/dryer or not, or just the hookups. there is a laundry place on site, but its 1.25 to wash and 1.25 to dry, which seems kind of pricy to me.
another sidenote is after the hurricane they immediately came to all the apartments to make sure you didn't need any urgent repairs, which was very thoughtful. on the down said, they didn't extend the deadline for rent which sucked. (they might've accepted it late, but they didn't send out a notice if they did)
