This is the first and last year I will be having a lease at University House. When my roommates and i moved in the apartment was filthy. Our parents helped us clean for like 4 hours. We had cabinets that were about to fall off of the walls. We had broken glass in our carpet and one of the bedroom's carpet was soaking wet and stunk. We constantly have roaches in our kitchen, every night, in the dishwasher, sink, on the walls, it's disgusting. 3 days after we moved in, we were told to pack up everything and get everything off of the floor because they were going to put in new carpet. We were very angry because we just moved in and did not want to have ot pack up again. The manager was very nice to us when we spoke with her in her office. I have had problems with one of the workers, who was exteremly rude to me. Our inventory sheets were completely filled out along with 2 or 3 pages of loose leaf to go with them. The apartment was full of cobwebs and spiders. We have holes in our walls that are patched with TAPE and painted over. Our dryer would not even dry clothes, it took at least 3 weeks before maintenance came to check on our cabinet that was about to fall off. It smells horrible around the complex, you constantly get lease violations because of the crazy -------s who live around you. My car was also hit in the parking lot, but of course I will never find out who did it or get anything for it. This place is definitly not worth the price of rent. It is highly overpriced and over rated. I just cannot explain how disgusting these apartments were when we moved in. I would never tell anyone to live here. I heard stories before i moved in and didn't listen but now i realize what people were talking about, and i regret signing the lease forms to live here for a year. The worst conditions i could imagine
