1999 Renter of Brand New Apartments

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 1999
I was one of the first group of people renting from Brightside Crossing. From the beginning, we had the feeling this place was going to be a problem. While the staff was knowledgable and helpful, when available, the construction was tossed together quickly because of being behind schedule. The outcome: a poorly designed and cheaply made apartment for a king's ransom!
I lived in a 4bed/bath apartment in the back of the complex (close to Nicholson). Parking was always a bear. The pool table in the rec room always offered broken equipment. I never could build up the bravery to try the tanning bed. Parking was awful: too many cars, not enough space. There were times when I had to park three buildings down.
Pool and hot tub were well maintained. Very few problems there. The walls of the apartment were paper thin. I remember having a roommate with a snoring problem which kept me up many a night. I was a 1st floor resident, so the upstairs neighbor with the "drums" was a bit annoying too. Our security system never worked properly. Altogether, this wasn't the worst place that I've lived in, but definitely more money than it's worth.
