My two roommates and I lived at Citiscape for the past two years. We loved the old management, especially Randy, but the new management seemed to drive everyone - old staff and tenants, away. We decided to move out because of the increase in rent, so we called a month-and-a-half before our lease ended and let the staff know that we will not be renewing our lease. The woman on the phone even tried to convince us to stay, but we have already found a new apartment with a very reasonable rent.

We continued to receive notices that we need to renew our lease (at least once a week), and every time we would call them and tell them we will not be renewing and that we have found a new place. About a week before we were supposed to be out of the apartment, we cleaned up the whole place, making it look almost how it was before we moved in. My roommate returned our keys today and she gets yelled at by the new manager for not giving them a month's notice for moving out.

The manager said that we did not come in to sign a notice that we were leaving and that none of them were aware we were moving. She said she did not know that we had to come in to sign a notice and that she called them multiple times letting them know we were leaving. The manager continued yelling at her saying that it was in the lease that we were supposed to give them a written one month notice. Finally she said they were not giving us back our deposit.

We understand that we should have written a one month notice, but the management should NOT have yelled at my roommate, and they could have at least asked us to come by to sign that notice. Did no one write a note down saying we would not be renewing'' I actually would have recommended Citiscape to friends, but after that incident, no one should move in there! It's being run by lazy people who do not know how to do their job. Thank you for an ugly goodbye present, Citiscape.

Tell us what you think about how much the manager's daughter and friends love their apartment please. When I contacted her "boss" he claimed you all were a bunch of college students that just wanted to complain about something.
