Time for me to get out of here

I have been living here for 2 years and have some problems with the complex.

First, if you are considering moving here get a downstairs apt.

I live upstairs and there is very little draft in the attic and not nearly enough insulation.

In the summer my A/C runs constantly to try and keep my apt cool.

My summer electric bill averages $160 a month for a ONE bedroom apt...and I keep my thermostat on 75 degrees.

Most apartments, like mine, have a heat pump which does not work well.

I dont even run the heater in the winter because it does not warm the interior at all.

I complained to the maintenance man and he checked it and said there was nothing he could do, said that the heat pump was just inefficient.

I just complained to the manager about my A/C once again, about the fact that it was not cooling.

Her response was, "Thats not good".

The maintenance man came out to check it and agreed that it was not cooling very well.

He said he would come out the next day to check something else.

Never saw him again.

Also, 2 days a week the back pool is locked for "cleaning" for a couple of hours.

But I have yet to see anyone clean it and have gone to the pool right after it is re-opened and it is still dirty.

Also, the security gate is an absolute joke.

The gate closes at 8pm every nite and residents must use a pass card to enter.

However, there is a nice convenient place for a car or two to pull over just outside the entrance of the gate.

I cannot begin to count the number of times that I have come home to find a car pulled over just waiting for a resident to open the gate so they can get in.

The waiting car simply follows the resident in before the gate closes.

This defeats the purpose of having a security gate.

Anyone who wants to may get in if they have a little patience.
Needless to say I am tired of freezing in the winter and sweating in the summer in my own apt.

I am outta here as soon as my lease is up.
