I've lived in El Cid for almost 4 years now. The property manager when I first started living here was alright - I had heard things, but I never had any problems. Rent stayed steady and it was cheap and relatively nice for the price.
However, this new manager I'm not so sure about. My rent goes up with every lease and I'm not sure what's being done with it. I was told if I signed one lease, I would have my carpets professionally cleaned - that didn't happen.
They've stopped bringing air filters every three months (which, I've tried, you can't find the appropriate size at Lowes, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or Harbor Freight - they're awkwardly shaped). I wouldn't even mind paying more for rent except I've actually seen *less* services being performed and there's always at least one washer or dryer at my building that isn't working... which can be quite a hassle considering there's only 3 washers and 4 dryers.
It's not a horrible place to live - the maintenance man is cool... but the property manager isn't too friendly. Oh, and don't try to call the office, you'll never get a hold of anyone.
