Not bad for a college apartment

I lived at Embassy for 3 years. I've been in the small two bedrooms on Burbank for one year and the small one bedroom on Gourrier for 2 years. I moved out in May when I graduated and took a job in Texas. If I return to LSU for grad school, I'll be back at Embassy if there isn't a waiting list. Traffic in Baton Rouge is pretty hairy, so living within walking distance of campus is a huge, huge selling point on these apartments. Gourrier Ave is patroled by the LSU police and BRPD.

They aren't the nicest places to live, but the prices is low and you can walk to class. CEBA is an easy walk, and on gamedays you can walk to the stadium, LSU lakes, tigertown, and anything in the south campus area. You can walk to Shroom or Walk Ons if you are brave enough to cross Burbank on foot. It's ideal for business or engineering students because CEBA is an 8 minute walk away. The Quad is about 15 minutes way on foot. North campus is quite a hike. There are a lot of higher end condominums being built in the area because the location can't be beat.

I haven't had a problem with management..they've been more than resonable.

This is an older complex that needs some updates inside and out. Just go into Embassy knowing the benefits: location, price, nice management, low crime. They are not "fancy" in any way, but they are way better than what a lot of college students are living in off campus.

Noise is rarely an issue (sometimes a handful of people out late by the pool), but the residents are usually nice enough to turn the music down if you ask them. I've lived there for a while, and I know people that have lived there for a long time. There really isn't much of a problem with this place, esp if you choose the smaller one bedroom apartments. They look crummy, but they are not bad and they are safe. It's almost all college folks, and they are all friendly. I'd avoid the two bedroom units that are on the other side of Burbank because of street traffic.

There was a concern with crime and parking immediately after Katrina, but that was pretty much everywhere in Baton Rouge. It's back to normal.

This is a much better choice to anything in Tigertown. I'd choose it over the older complexes like Place Duplanchier, Highland Crossing, and obviously way before anything on Jennifer Jean street. You just can't beat Embassy because of location.
If that's important, then enjoy your stay there.
