I moved in July 2009 and I cant wait to get out. When I first signed my lease they told me I would be in apt 113 but when I came to move in they told me that I was now going to be in apt 173. That put me at the END of the complex! Upon being there for 1 week my car windshield was shattered by a golf ball because they have failed to keep up the nets. They told us that the nets are the golf course's responsibility which is a lie. The golf course was there first and they have records showing that the complex put up the nets and are responsible for keeping them up. Another problem I had upon moving in was that my A/C wasnt working. Note this was the middle of July when I moved in and the outside temp was OVER 100! I had to live in the misery of 90 degree heat for 3 days until they could fix the problem. The matinance guy even argued with me that my air was working fine! Problem 3 upon moving in was that my balcony glass sliding door was not sealed and was letting in wasps, rain and wind! When the wind would blow, my blinds would move. Their fix to that problem was just to calk the door shut, so now we cant even use the balcony that we pay for. The matinance guy said they have doors, but they dont have anyone to install them, but he would put me on the list. That was over 2 months ago that I got on this "list". Security is also a problem around this complex. I am afraid to go outside by myself at night and my fiance refuses to let me. A few weeks ago my neighbor got her house broken into. It was early on a Sunday morning that I heard beating and I went to look out my peep hole and saw a guy kicking and ramming the door. We called the cops and the clubhouse and heard nothing else about it. Then on Halloween night, my downstairs neighbor got MUGGED at GUNPOINT!!! Now please tell me how that is supposed to make me feel safe. The complex is "gated" but that doesnt really help if they never close the gates! They have a ren-a-cop that drives around in a black car with his blue lights on, but I dont even know if this is a real cop. As far as cosmetic problems go, we have no light fixtures in any of the bedrooms, or in the living room. That was an extra unexpected cost upon moving in. There are so many problems with this place... I really havent even touched the surface. Please, dont get sucked in by the seemingly nice appearance of this place. It may seem nice, but they really dont give a flyin flip about the tenants. Thus all their "move in specials" to suck in more unexpecting people. I hope this helped. I am planning on moving out as soon as I find a better place wether my lease is up or not.
