I should have expected this apartment to be a nightmare when everyone referred to it as Plantation Trash. The question should be what WASN'T bad about living there. The complex is falling apart. There was mold in the kitchen and bathroom that they refused to take care of. I was in a townhouse on the corner of the building and my whole apartment leaned to one side because the supports were crumbling. The mold was so bad in the downstairs bathroom, we couldn't even use it. The fridge broke and so did the dishwasher. They fixed that after I called a few times, but in the process of fixing those problems, they tore up a lot of the tile in the kitchen and didn't bother to fix it when I called the office. The grounds are always messy. There are beer cans everywhere. The "security" that roams the grounds is a joke. If you report a disturbance, they won't even respond most of the time. I had to call three times to report a loud group of people that were standing outside my apartment. The "security cop" never showed up, so I had to go ask them to quiet down. Now, whose job was that' Not in my job description last time I checked. The management is extremely rude and doesn't do anything about the noise. I had a neighbor that I complained about numerous times and I had problems with him the whole year I lived there.
The complex is constantly noisy. Not just on the weekends or on game days, it is ALL OF THE TIME. I had to call the cops on numerous occasions because of people fighting or drunks screaming outside. The area is poorly lit and you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. It took maintenance six months to fix a leak in my bathroom. The leak was so bad, I had to clean the tub twice a day because the mold was so bad.
They treat you apartment for insects once a month, but they only put it in like one cabinet in the kitchen. I had an insect problem the entire time I was there. We also suspected that we had a mouse in the apartment.
All in all, this place SUCKED. It is falling apart and disgusting in every way possible. STAY AWAY!!!!!
