I lived in PT for 4 years. Besides being a typical college apartment, it felt a little unsafe sometimes. I lived in a townhouse first (which is the nicest of the layouts) and someone once tried to break in while we were asleep. Security strolled over like it was no big deal. This was upsetting. In my next apartment there, someone tried to break into my outside bedroom door and window while I was sleeping. The city police took care of that situation. The worst part of all of this is that the complex was patrolled by 24 hour security and city police! Not sure where they were! Until the 2 situations occured, I felt safe.

It is now under new management. Since then, there has been small changes. There?s now an exercise room. There is also a less professional looking maintenance crew and less security. I feel less safe than before (if that is even possible). There is now one security guy that walks around (I think) instead of the 4 or 5 that used to work there. Security used to be out 24hours a day, and now I?ve only seen security at night. The BR police that once patrolled the lot no longer sit out front. I have not seen them since the new managment started.

The office usually gives you a hard time about replacing and updating things in your apartment. They also give you a hard time about getting your deposit back when you move out. It can be a frustrating place to live, but it?s not too expensive like other apartments close to campus. Things might get better, but I would keep looking. If you choose to live here, expect your car to get banged up in the parking lot; it?s a terrible lot.
