I moved into a townhouse my sophmore year at LSU and it was great. The townhouse is the way to go and if you can get one in the back its even better. If you would like to live in a place where you can have a loud party and not get the police called then this is the place. However, it is not safe to live here alone, especially if you are a girl. There have been several problems with break ins. The biggest problem is that about a year ago R W Day took over an fired the very well trained and friendly maintence staff, and this fall they plan to raise rent $140/month. $65 is supposed to be for the new "improvements" which are the high speed internet, that they started installing during finals week despite many pleas by us residents to stop the noise, and basic cable. I know that basic cable is only $35/month and at LSU you can get the geaux box for $25/month so this is not a deal. Not to mention the $75/month increase in rent, for what exactly do you need to raise rent that much, also watch out for the new office staff they are very incompentent. They will ask you to fill out the same form numerous times and get upset with you if you are annoyed at thier incompentance. I am leaving this place, it is no longer the cheap, convenient and friendly place that it used to be.
