After moving out, my roommate and I left our apartment in immaculate condition. In fact, it was cleaner than when we moved in. All the move-out instructions given to us were followed. We did not receive back our security deposit. In fact, we were billed for painting and carpet cleaning. The bill was only sent to one former tenant as one notice to her father's address. When we called about the bill, we were notified that no one ever gets back their security deposit. They said it had been listed in the lease that we would be charged a bill upon moving out. They gave us a week to pay the fees or be sent to collections. Horrible place to live. Dishonest about policies. The day I moved out I asked about this exact thing and the girl in the office lied to me that we would absolutely get our deposit back. So beware renting with this property.
