The management in the office is very hard to get along with and uncaring. They promise you all kinds of things when you first sign the lease but then do not deliver. The maintenance of units is terrible and then just bandaid big problems that really need to be fixed for good. Do not rent here. You will be sorry.

i just moved back into Highland Plantation after living here until Gustav hit. i was in an apartment that was damaged so they moved me to a really nice sister property southgate. i just moved back to highland plantation and to let everyone know, EVERY building has gotten a new roof! there is also a new office staff that actually cares and very friendly! and the new clubhouse is amazing! they have really done alot here!

I had to deal with the management in the office several times regarding some unique situations and they were absolutely no help, and in fact were basically heartless. My daughter was there during Gustav and had a total loss on her apartment and the contents and it took many threats of legal action and many, many phone calls to get results. In fact, I had contacted the attorney general and all three major networks in Baton Rouge, who were ready to film in front of the apartments, before I got any response at all from the management.
