Highland Plantation is not the best apartment complex, but it is very affordable and I feel it is a good value for your money. My two bedroom apartment costs $730 a month, and that includes cable/internet and water. I don't think there are many more places that you can pay that little and get central a/c and still live close to campus. If you have more money to spend, then I would say live somewhere nicer. But, if this is the only thing in your price range then go for it. They are old apartments, and the kitchens are tiny. There are definitely some sketchy people around, but each apartment does have a security system.

The staff is the worst and as far as the alarm system goes half of them dont work. I would not advise anyone to stay here not even my DOG!!!

my alarm works fine.. and I have not had any bad experiences with the new staff

Highland Plantation has some of the best apartment rates in the LSU area! You get a lot for your money- cable, internet, intrustion alarms are included, we have 3 swimming pools, tennis court, and by far the best clubhouse in the area!
