This apartment is a waste of time money effort everything. As a student I can honestly say that a good deal of my student loans went to them. Whether it was from their rip off laundry system that does nothing but steal your cash 20$ at a time or their fat lazy office staff who hold your rent payment and rack up late fees for you and do not tell you until you owe 200$. They have also tried to charge me 600$ in pet fees when I have no animals. The air conditioning sucks, my apt was filled with empty beer cases and cans the day I moved in and honestly living there made me want to commit suicide. No sleep due to screaming pple outside or gunshots fired and if your looking to find random antipsychotics in the parking this is the perfect place as numerous times I have found both weed and quaziprantel in the parking lot near my apt but I also found broken glass from my car window that some crackhead smashed out one night. I would rather saw all of my appendages off with a plastic spoon and slowly bleed to death than ever see that place again. Cheap rent but not when they scam you outta of almost 1000$ before you leave renter beware and stay away from highland plantation. Also they have a fairly racist staff and maintenance sucks. They will not come to fix my windows door air conditioning or sink but they will come to try to tear apart my bedroom ceiling for no reason. And there is always constant construction outside it's ridiculous I almost got hit by a pack of shingles trying to get into my apt. live here if you like a staff that runs around like a bunch of headless chickens or if you want to to give them all of your cash. I will never again live in an apartment did to this experience and I have had to hir a lawyer to deal with all of their bs.

---------,
Sorry you feel this way...due to the office not accepting your rent recently because it wasnt full payment. In regards to the drugs and gunshots at this property yhat is absolutely not true and you know that.
Regarding construction...I apologize if this has been an inconveneince to you, but we have replaced every single roof with a brand new roof, added new pool furniture, a fabulous new gameroom for our residents and so much more still to come. Sorry you don't just love us.....we wish you the Best!!!

I am moving out in 3 weeks and it is ONLY because I just bought my first house after graduating. In 3 years I have never heard of gun shots.

neither have I and I've lived here for 2 years. people assume they are gunshots when a transformer blows or maybe a car backfires. who knows but Highland Plantation would be on the news if there was a shooting. people just make up things to make their stories of living here sound bad.

I lived at Plantation Trash aka Highland Plantation in 2005. You must be a new property director, that one was possibly the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Of the half dozen apartments I lived in during/after college before buying a house this was hands down the worst. I couldn't even tell you what the second worst was. Worst maintenance staff, rudest office staff, highest utility bills, and least secure apartment I had anywhere in town. Why so many apartments? Not because I'm hard to please. I moved in with different roommates as friends or family graduated, got married, found jobs and moved away. We moved from Azalea Point to HPL for the W/D connections. Worst and likely most expensive mistake of my college career.
