I have been living at Lakeside Villas since Sept of 2004 and it is an extremely nice place to live. If you want a safe, gated community with friendly people and staff who are willing to take care of your problems in a timely manner (not that you'll have very many) this is the place for you. The staff is outstanding, especially both Elizabeths (yest there are 2 of them). Plus, if you work anywhere near the Sherwood Forest Blvd. area, it is very conveniently located. Takes me about 5 minutes to get to work each morning. I don't know what crawled up the last person to post's butt, but I feel like they just posted about the wrong apartments. This apartment community is only about a year old and there is absolutely NO pest problem. I can't say that for many other apartment complexes in Baton Rouge. Check it out. It's not really cheap but well worth it in the end. Cant really remember if the deposit amount I listed is right.
