Overall horrible experience. I thought as a tenent, I am supposed to feel accomodated and made to feel as if I am valued. Well not at Oakbrook. Maintinence staff takes on average a week to address work requests whether its an immediate major pressing problem or a minor one. But you normally have to call and remind them of your work request every other day. Trash constantly overflows at dumpster sites so you must walk through a swarm of flies in order to dump your trash. Its smells horrible around here. Litter and trach are often strewn about the grounds. In order to exit our units after or during a hard rain, many of us must walk through ankle deep water. Security gates and entry ways are always broken. I suppose this would be acceptable for a first year college student who's not picky but even as a first year student who had never been on my own, this would have been unacceptable to me. As a professional student, I have made a big mistake in the choice for my present residence. And for the Ladies, I don't particularly feel UNsafe here but I do think that it is too dark around here.
STAY AWAY FROM OAKBROOK. You will only be disappointed in the end...Well, actually, the whole time you live here.
