i loved in oakligh for 3 years and i have to say its not the worst place out there but you can do so much better.
the main thing wrong about the place is no different than many other places nowadays, they up the rent and up the rent and the place never changes...everything gets older as the rent goes higher and the place falls apart..soon the person that rents there will have a leaky everything with bad appliances paying a fortune..the staff is hideous and rude to boot..so keep driving and searching and good luck

I've lived here almost 5 years and for the first 3 the rent never went up. Only since Katrina did the rent go up, and dramatically so this last go around. I used to really enjoy living here, but I'm not paying that kind of money to live here when new places for the same price are going up all over town.
