Update to 2006 review

I'm updating a review I made in 2006 regarding this community.
I've been there since 2003 when it was a really nice place to live for a really reasonable amount.
Over the years I've seen it change hands and it has really gone downhill.
It used to be retirees, young professionals and graduate students who lived here.
But now the leasing office will rent to anybody regardless of how loud, messy, and completely inconsiderate of other renters they are.
I don't even feel safe walking to get the mail after dark (and I and others used to go jogging around the complex at night).
What is most discouraging is how management treats longtime renters.
I recently received my rental renewal notice and it shot up over a $100.
That might be standard for living in real cities, but NOT Baton Rouge, NOT for this 30 year old complex, and NOT for what you get in return.
It's really sad because I used to LOVE living here, LOVED my little apartment, but now I'm finally so disgusted that I'm not renewing.
I don't expect to see any portion of my deposit returned either.
