I have lived in Oakleigh for 3 years and the last year the complex has really taken a turn for the worse.

Management is rude and unresponsive.

In the 3 years I've been there I've had only three maintenance calls, all to which they've responded as if I'm inconveniencing them.

They leave breezeway lights burned out for weeks, even with consistent calls and complaints for changing the bulbs.

I once called for three weeks, twice each week to get the bulb changed so I could see my keyhole to get into my apartment at night, still no result.

Not to mention its just plain scary for a single girl coming in to her apartment at night in pitch blackness.

I used to feel completely safe to jog around the complex and there were always others jogging as well.

Now I no longer feel safe due to the questionable people they allow in the complex.

I see not a soul jogging these days.

I feel scared just taking my trash out in the evenings now.

They have allowed people in this complex now that are messy, loud and aggressive.

Someone tried to break into my neighbors apartment this past month and he never received a response from the community watchman after three tries and ended up calling the local cops.

His apartment has poured water from a leak in the ceiling when it rains since last June and managment has yet to fix it.

My rent is OUTRAGEOUS for the square footage.

They tried to raise my rent $100 this past year and I fought them about it and won, only because I have been here for years.

$700 for a tiny one bedroom in an under-construction area with terrible management is ridiculous.

Sadly, I will not be renewing my lease as they will surely try to up my rent once again.

This used to be a decent community, but since new management it has really gone downhill.

I warn you - look elsewhere.

This is not the place to live.
