I lived at Oakleigh for 4 years. All through the rude management to the broken stove that they could never fix. I'm here to beware you of the recent issue that happen to me. I moved out around labor day and left my keys in the dropbox. Mistake. I didn't do a final walk with the manager so instead of getting a statement for damages, I was sent directly to a collection agency. I paid my pet deposit of a non refundable $350.00 for a spayed 7 yr old small dog. Oakleigh claims that I owe them $595.00 for damage to the carpet in the master bedroom. When I mentioned the pet deposit they said that the deposit was deducted. So carpet in a master bedroom alone is about $900.00' Why would you not change the carpet in the whole apartment' Anyway, the point is I had no chance to defend myself or even the chance to pay and settle with them. I was sent directly to a collection agency. I will take them to small clams court.
