Have been living here for 8 months and here is what I can say:
1) Nothing ever gets fixed.
Period.
Yet if you are 2 days late on your rent you will be turned over to the collection agency.
2) Old mismatched, funky colored appliances.
3) Lots of day laborers live here.
Currently the economy stinks so there must not be a lot of work for those guys.
Take notice if you are a woman.
4) The gate in front of the complex is either broken and when it works it is backed up with cars of people who DONT live here who are trying to get in.
Defeats the purpose of a security gate.
5) Paper thin walls.
I can hear my neighbor walk, talk, screw, go to the bathroom, snore, etc...
6) The laundry facility here is disgusting.
Its like Hitlers bunker.
Broken door, broken machines, stains on the walls, broken window.
They wont show it to you so ASK to see it.
If you can afford to live somewhere else I would HIGHLY suggest it.

I disagree with Comment #5. I have lived here for 4 years and compared to the newer apartments I have visited friends at such as The Gates at Citiplace on Corporate these walls are much more sound absorbent than the new ones. In the 4 years I have lived here I have never heard any voices at all an occasional cabinet door slam or garbage disposal going but that has been it. One time there was some loud music I had to complain about but it was taken care of eventually by management.

Anonymous- Comment #6- What do you think of the upgrade we did on the laundry facility?? #4- There is not a gated property in town that can keep all non resident cars out! A gate is a very effective tool as far as being a security feature. #2- have you seen our apartment upgrades?! Come by and let me show you the amazing progress Oakleigh has made in the last year!
