Deposit Reimbursement

In Oaks of Kingsbridge's contract it states that in 30 days past residents should receive their deposit money back less $50 for carpet cleaning and any additional charges (i.e. broken light bulb, etc.). It has been two months and I have not received my money back yet. Their staff is completely clueless. The manager and her staff keep giving me the run around as if they do not owe me money. I could see if I had been the "tenant from hell"; however, I was not. I paid Oaks of Kingbridge rent 6-months in advance. I stayed there for almost three years and each time I renewed my lease it was accompanied with a check for the entire lease period. Most apartment complexes would love a tenant like that and treat them with more respect. It seems as if I will have to hire a lawyer to get my money. It's a shame when you have to spend money to get what is rightfully yours, but they will reimburse me for every penny I spend on this avoidable situation. What makes the situation even worse is that I am not the first person they have done this to, so beware!!!!!
