Don't do it

We lived there from 2002-2005.
Problems:
1] The hot water heater flooded the apartment 4 times, the pipes from the tub flooded the closed 1 and the pipes for the washing machine flooded twice. They couldn't get the problems fixed and mold started growing in the closets. When I called them all they did was paint over the mold!
2]A light fixture was messed up which had something to do with the wiring. I asked for it to be fixed...I asked 5 times..it never happened.
3]Bathroom did not come with a shower curtain rod when I got the apartment. I pointed it out to the main office. Upon moving they still tried to charge me after I took it with me.
4]Also upon moving out the carpet had to be replaced because of the numerous floods. They tried to charge me a carpet cleaning fee. I pointed out that I knew they put new carpet put in the apartment so what was the fee for'
5]I was gone a week for thanksgiving 04 and the smokers from the upstairs apt must have dropped all their cig butts off the balcony. I got a notice to pay a fine. I told them I wasn't at the apartment at that time and they said it doesn't matter that upstairs and downstairs apt gets the fine. Needless say..I didn't pay it and told them its not my job to pick up the trash outside the apartments.
6]The speed bump infront of my apartment had been(and still is) missing a part in the middle so people drive ungodly speeds through it. They won't fix it.
7]Access Gates were always breaking for long periods of time.
8]Some of the neighbors I had throughout the years were VERY VERY loud. I would call the main office..no one would show up to have them turn down the music or quiet down.
9]Several times I paid the electric..they said I didn't..so I had to go get the copy of my cleared check and prove it to them.
10]The pool is basically unswimmable because of the massive amounts of chlorine in it. AND I MEAN MASSIVE AMOUNT.
11]ALOT OF THE LIGHTS ARE BROKEN THROUGHOUT THE COMPLEX SO NIGHTTIME IS KINDA SCARY WITHOUT LIGHTING AND YOU GET OUT YOUR CAR ALONE.

12] THE WHOLE TIME LIVING HERE I RENTED A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT.
RENT WAS 505 A MONTH WHEN WE MOVED HERE IN 2002. RENT GOES UP EVERY AND I MEAN EVERY TIME YOU RESIGN THE LEASE AND FROM TALKING TO NEIGHBORS IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY MONTHS THE LEASE IS FOR. FINALLY IN 2005 THE RENT WAS 560. THEN THEY DECIDED TO HAVE THE ELECTRIC AND RENT ALL IN ONE BILL. RENT WHEN I LEFT WAS 650. FROM TALKING TO MY FRIENDS AT OLE LONDON TOWNE..RENT STILL GOES UP EVERY NEW LEASE

Other than that...great place to live. Stayed there until we just couldn't handle it anymore. Hopefully other people have better luck!

Living at ole london town apartments is not all that great. First of all the guy in the apartment above us is always playing music and dancing around so we hear every bit of it! We have told him something sevral times but it does no good! One of our neighbors overflowed the toilet above our bathroom so we came home to a wet floor and wall. Now our roof is caving in and molding! The mantanance guy came in that day and was supposed to fix the problem and never did. So now our roof is constantly dropping peices in the floor and bath tub. I don't like the idea of letting the maintanance people come in when you are not home because once I came home and my closet was totally distroyed and I had a cable running throught my roof for the person above us. Nothing was missing out of my closet but it looked like a tornado hit it. On top of this our bath tub is rusted and caving in around the drain area. NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT THAT EITHER! Finally we desided to put in new stick and peel tile since our vinyl flooring was comming up from the neighbors toilet overflowing disaster and there was 3 layers of old vinyl flooring underneth! The smell was horiffic! Mold and mildew was growing under neth it! I was SICK from the smell for like 2 days! The parking is horrible also! PPL take the parking spot right in front of your apartment. The women at the front desk have serious attitude problems! The electricity has went out like 5 times in 4 months and if you ask these women when will you have electricity on again they are so cocky! All of the neighbors are fed up with the electricity issue because it seems like every time the wind blows the electricity goes out!
