Not what I expected, though not horrible

I picked Place Duplantier because I had a dog and I liked the apartment they showed me. The apartment was super cute. I was excited to see my own.

Then I got my own. The carpet was stained, worn down, and downright ugly compared the carpet in the showroom. My bathtub was chipped and cracked, and there was a hole forming on the bottom. There was also a hardened, sticky gunk with hair and dust in the kitchen. I couldn't remove it so I asked the front desk girl to send a cleaning crew. Why should I have to move into a dirty apartment'

Well the front girl checked out my apartment and agreed to send a cleaning crew, send the carpet cleaning guys in, and speak to her manager about the bathtub. When I later walked into the office, I heard her mocking my concerns about the bathtub. She said, "It's not like she's going to fall in..."

Well she finally sent the carpet people, and the carpet was clean but stiff as a board afterwards. It tooks me months to get used to walking on such floors. She never sent a cleaning crew though. When I moved out, the stain is still there.

The company changed before I moved in. The office staff changed three times. The last hired girl walks around openly showing her tattoos to potential residents as she drives them around on the golf cart. Pretty professional, eh'

You can never walk outside without being eyed by the office staff as they ride around on their glorious golf cart. The workers (painters and lawncare) stare at your every move especially if you're a female.

They changed the laundry mat to a card operated process. The prices are higher. The machines do not work as well.

That being said...
I didn't have to make many service calls, and the one time I did the guy showed up within the hour.

The apartment is roomy, but it should not be as expensive as it is. They are very old.

For the money, I'd choose somewhere nicer.
