I lived at the Regency Club for a year and could not wait for my lease to expire.
Firstly, the price is comparable to that of luxury apartments in the area that are brand new...clearly they are not up to par. This is a very old apartment complex. You can get new appliances but you have to pay an extra $35 a month.
Secondly, this complex was changed to accept large breed of dogs. No one cleans up behind their pets. If you are not an animal lover then this is not the place for you. To be honest, I am an animal lover but I would never walk in the grass without looking down at all times.
Thirdly, they keep stray cats and ducks. People feed the strays so they never leave. People feed the ducks as well. Feeding the ducks is not a problem and it is cute seeing the new ducklings that are born following their moms around. The huge issue is ducks poop any and everywhere and if you have not seen duck poop, then you have no idea how nasty it is...
The apartments are next to a wooded area and I have seen stray cats that have been killed by something and the apartment workers refuse to dispose of the carcases. There was a dead cat that was left in the grass for 2 months, even after I called the office and told them. If you have a dog then this is a problem because dead animals left in the grass that your dog walks in daily brings fleas and disease into your home.
Fourthly, the maintenance workers will do whatever it takes to go the cheapest and quickest route to "fix" a major issue. They only want a quick fix. This is done because they get bonuses if they keep the cost of repairs down. My refrigerator leaked for 4 months and after numerous "repairs" they replaced it with another refrigerator from another apartment. I had the same issue with my sink that leaked, dishwasher, and had a microwave that had the vent come on and go off sporadically.
Finally, I know there is crime everywhere, but there was a break in on the 3rd level apartment across from me. Whomever it was came in through the balcony. There were several break-ins into people's vehicles. I opted to get a super sensitive car alarm system that would go off if you sneezed around my vehicle so I didn't worry about my vehicle. But when there are 3 or 4 break ins in one night, it makes one feel a little nervous, especially if you are a single female.
I know we all have decisions to make, but I would highly recommend looking into Longridge or Muriel Crossing if you want to be in the Sherwood Forest area. You won't be very happy in the long run living at the Regency Club. There are too many issues that one has to deal with, that you will not have to deal with at other apartments. If your life will be that of staying in the ghetto...why pay luxury prices'

If you live there then you cannot deny any of what is said. Instead of making a response towards my character, how about make some real denials to what was posted. It is all truth. No one likes to move and if some of these issues were rectified then I would have saved my time, money, and effort and put it elsewhere. Moving is a chore. But my safety and happiness is above all. You probably work for apartment...Not sure why you need to respond to my review. Just post your own and tell everyone how wonderful you think the apartment really is.
