I totally agree with the reviews written about the management of this complex. First impression will bait you in and then there's the switch. My unit appeared in good standing when I did the initial walk through. After about a week or so, I noticed poor maintenance performance. Just to name a few discoverings: The floors were not substained correctly(loose), ceiling fan in the bedroom burned out, shower pipes leaked and were loose, kitchen outlets will burnout appliances, the tub was painted to appear new but started to peal and crack, the toilet did not flush and the air condition vent that is in the kitchen area leaked-reported several times only to have maintenance patch the leak with putty and paint. The third maintence man corrected the problem and showed me the mildew after he completely removed the vent and drained the unit. He tacked the vent back up temporary and said someone will be in to plaster the ceiling but its been 3 months now and no one ever came.
Rent is due on the 1st and on 3rd a $50 late fee is applied. They use to have a drop box but for the simply fact that they are trying to get people to pay online for a fee of almost $30, they removed the drop box and changed their office hours so you don't have time to make it to their office uless you fly overtop rush hour traffic.
I can attest to the complaint against Ebony who works in the office. Her attitude is as nasty as the trash thats piles around the always full dumpsters. Management continues to allow her to abuse tenants which says alot about them as well.
With that said, NO I Would NOT refer Sherwood Acres to anyone. Occaisional shooting and Monthly notices of sexual assults are not good for kids and there's alot of kids who lives here. First chance I get I'm Out of Here and the hell with the deposit because they will need it to stay in business once people are aware of what's going on. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
