i just moved to to Baton Rouge. South Gate was suppose to be this big deal appartment building. I have had one problem after another. I will give you a list:
1) A/C broke
2) Cable didn't work when moved in
3) Dishwasher didn't work when moved in
4) No hot water ever
5) Had to have my water tank treated twice for a bad smell
6) No shower curtain rod(which they were suppose to supply, i ended up buying one myself)
7) Still awaiting a toilet paper holder to this day...

Not to mention the office staff is horrible. The rent is WAY to expensive for what i am living in. I just moved from new york city, and trust me this is high priced. I was shown a huge spacious two bedroom and told i would be living in the same thing, just minus one room. TOTAL LIE! my appt. is the size of a shoe box for what i am paying. the hot water sucks ( i can't even run a bath), and the pressure is terrible. I have had one thing break after another. Overall I would say that you probably could find a better deal. Also the construction was suppose to be done "no later than march first". Complete lie. Don't waste your money!! Also they are re-doing the floors in tower three! so make sure not to live there..unless you want to be moved for a week.

I find it funny that you couldn't just go out and buy a shower curtain rod and a toilet paper holder, but yet you pay $1200/month for an apartment! Go figure.
