The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - Plenty of Unfulfilled Potential

I'm comfortable here, but potential renters should beware because of the concerns posted on this website. Many of these concerns are accurate, but is this really "the worst place you've ever lived"' You must have lived a sheltered life.
Southgate has tremendous potential and I would like to give it a "yes" recommendation, but I can't do it yet because of the snail's pace with which they are (not) completing the promised amenities.
My experiences:
THE GOOD
My apartment WAS ready on the promised date.
I love having all the utilities, security system and internet included in the rent.
I don't have much of a noise problem (this IS an apartment building for goodness sake). The concrete construction helps a lot, but completing the door seals would also help. By the way, it's become even quieter since the Police Officers started moving into the complex. Cool idea.
I'm on an upper floor and I love being able to park on the same garage floor as my apartment so I don't need to climb the stairs or use the elevator.
No security guards have knocked on my door.
THE BAD
Quality of interior construction was poor (sloppy painting, uncovered electrical outlets, no weatherstripping on doors, water floods in from porch during heavy rain, crooked wall switches and outlets, etc.)
Requests for maintenance take numerous requests to get someone to show up.
My move-in checklist of things that needed fixed was incredibly long, but I would NOT have accepted the apartment and moved in if it wasn't liveable. I've been there 6 months and very few of these items have been taken care of.
THE UGLY
Come on Southgate, when are you going to kick MAPP Construction in the butt and get this place finished. Get a loan, get this place done, and get your cash flow rolling in the right direction.
A comment to those of you who leave your trash laying in front of the trash chute. Here are the operating instructions:
1. Open trash chute.
2. Insert trash.
3. Close trash chute.
If it doesn't fit in the chute:
1. Go to first floor.
2. Open dumpster room door.
3. Insert trash
