If you are even considering a lease at Southgate, turn your back now. My roommate and I were told of completion dates for both the pool and the Main complex building of May 1st. Empty promises.

Upon moving in, our apartment flooded when I took my first shower. Apparently someone tightened the shower head too tight and cracked the pipe. Water came out of the bottom of my baseboards in my bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, laundry room, and out of the circuit breaker. If this wasn't enough, our A/C unit was never turned on and did not have any freon in it so we had to live in a 76 degree apartment for about a week. The scald meter on the hot water heater was turned all the way down so we had nothing but cold water. The cable is STILL not working and we moved in on May 1st. They are JUST NOW figuring out that the cable is split inside of the walls. And guess what the walls are made of...concrete..so that means lots of repair and lots of holes to be drilled.

Let's see...what else...there was also water damage already in our apartment before it flooded, baseboards were warped and doors wouldnt close all the way. The pool was supposed to be completed by LAST August and here it is in May and it is still not open. May I also mention that the supposed soundproofing of the walls does not exist. I can hear everything that my neighbors above do.

The maintenance crew has been fairly helpful and accomodating except for the fact that they hit on me. They also have conversations about how much alcohol they buy each week. Very professional, right' Basically, I would suggest that you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
