Spanish Oaks was very nice when i first moved in about 4 years ago. About a year later, management changed and the new mgr was so desperate to let anybody move in. She was so trashy looking and was always sick, so she claimed. Office was never opened. People on sec 8 started moving in. The pool was never kept up after mrs. kathy left. The maintenance was very poor. They were just a bunch of trashy people w/ a cancer stick always lit between their middle and index finger. The people on sec 8 and ssi people sat around all day sitting on the stairway gossiping about the hardworking people who are working to feed them and their children. (welfare) get it. I could always hear the nextdoor neighbors just as they were right there in the same living room as I.
This definitely is not a place for a hardworking individual or couple who wishes just to come home to peace every evening and enjoy their place which they call home. Anyone considering living here, if you are not a person who isn't working anywhere and have alot of kids on welfare, someone collecting a check every 1st or 3rd or even an individual who just doesn't care, then don't live there. you will be very disappointed.
all those reasons along with many others, were reasons why i moved on to something better.
oh! And watch out for Penny. she's the watch dog for management.

Uhmm.. What is wrong with you? I was on SSI for years due to my disability and I am a decent person and was a good tenant. I was able to go back to school and learn a trade which would provide for me without exacerbating my disability and I am proud of that but I am NOT ashamed of the time I had to spend on SSI and you have not right to say such sweeping nasty statements about people who need a little help. I was always a good tenant and I kept my apartment clean and I did not sit around all day. You are an ignoramus if you think that a place deteriorates simply because the tenants are people who need some public assitance. A place goes down because the manager is not responsive to the needs of tenants, is lazy about maintanance and makes no effort to screen the applicants to see what caliber of person they are regardless of income or how they get thier income.
