Run, don't walk to another apartment complex!!

ALOT has changed with this place, none of it good. This place is one step away from being a housing project (with ridiculously high rent, to boot) Since the hurricane, management (not charolette, not theresa) has changed yet again, and they actually had the nerve to raise the rent, which was already too high for the place. Let them tell you; it's beautiful here (yeah, the trees and the bushes and flowers are a nice cover-up) With the rent increase, out went many of the nice, quiet neighbors, in came the thugs, drugs, and hoodlums. The courtesy officer' What courtesy officer'! I have NOT seen him once walk around or respond to a call, and other neighbors are saying the same thing. The new manager, Johnnie (female) is very rude and discourteous, until it's time to renew your rent, then you get a nice letter and a bag of microwave popcorn (it's almost laughable) For example, she sent out a letter because someone had left trash in the parking lot, and made the statement, "your mother does not live here to pick up after you." At that time, one tenant's mother had just died, another tenant's mother was on her death bed, and several tenants were caring for elderly parents, ALL of them residents. They don't know your name, they don't care about fixing anything that does not have the ability to damage the property, (their's not yours) and access to the pool and other "amenities" have been limited. The pool has not opened yet because it is being held hostage. They say it won't be opened until everyone has come in to register their vehicles and get parking permits! What in the world does that have to do with a swiming pool' Nothing! The pool should have been opened about 2 months ago, but the assistant claims that this is about the same time it is opened every year- LIE! The "exercise room" was closed for several months as it was being used to store things from other apartment building that this company owns, the tennis court needs a new net and weed-b-gone, there is a huge tree (about 40 feet high) that fell because it was rotten AND after someone had set fire to it that is STILL laying in a trench parallel to the playground, and the playground has turned into a thug spot. There is a dispute brewing between a group of black kids and a group of hispanic kids. In a few months, Vietnam will look like a vacation spot. I saw one of our new residents getting out of her car with a pair of jeans on and a pair of yellow lace thong panties on... ON THE OUTSIDE OF HER JEANS!! This woman turns out to be a mother AND grandmother. Don't move here, all the nice tenants are moving out (my family included as soon as the lease expires) and some of the worst folks from the New Orleans area are moving in and taking over. (please know that we do have tenants from that area that are NOT bad neighbors to have, just not enough of them.) Management used the storms as an excuse to price gouge the rent (close to or exactly $100 per unit) and we are paying for it big time. If you want to spend more than $600 to $900 a month for an apartment or townhome, invest your money with a REALLY nice complex.
