Quiet, but management is rude

My brothers and I have lived in this apartment for nearly 7 years and we have seen this place go downhill. The atmosphere was once one of community and caring, it is no longer. Everyone I knew before Katrina has moved out for the same two reasons: high rent and rude management. My rent, after having increased regularly at $20 a year for 6 years, got hiked $80 this year. As with a previous review, the manager (charlotte) tried to tell me my rent was more than we agreed on the lease, and that it was late when it was not. I will be moving out when my lease is up and am thankful for it. The pool is only open from mid-may to mid-august, the excercise room was a nice convenience but the equipment is quite old and doens't work sometimes. Maintenece has definitely improved over the last few months though, and there's almost always a place to park near my apartment. As my door was always locked, I haven't had any problems with safety. If you dont mind living with a wanna-be prison warden as your manager then it's not a bad choice.
