HORROR stories..MUST READ!!

hope your ready to hear it cuz i got a lot to say.....

I live in Stadium Square (right next to tiger) Both complexes use the same poor managmentof R and W Day.

First of all like many other experiences i see posted, I was also duped into signing a year lease when i was told it was six months. after realizing this, I tried to sublease and they were far from helpful. I was told that i would have to pay 3/4 of one months rent just to cancel the contract(even after I found someone to take the lease over. If not, i would pay this fee plus every months rent until they found someone to take over....yeah right.

Needless to say i am forced to stick it out til July. The studios are soooo small and they have this awkward AC unit smack dab in the middle of your (already not able to fit furniture) living room. It is falsely advertised as 450 sq feet which is an overstatement.

Secondly, since day one I have had nothing but maintainence problems which as noted by others do not get fixed for days and sometimes weeks. Plumbing problem would have to be the worst occuring at least on three seperate ocassions. Sewage from the top three floor's came up through my kitchen sink and flooded my entire apartment. The carpet still stinks. My Dell computer was ruined also. The management sucks in the emergency service. I stayed up all night waiting for someone to come out and they did not come until noon the following day during finals week. after complaining, i was told to get apartment insurance or some --------.
this maintainence persisted two more times in the kitchen sink and once my tub overflowed with sewage.

thirdly, Mice started coming in through the rotted wood under the kitchen sink from flooding when it rained.

many other unprofessional things have occured such as handling of issues. You talk to five different people about the same problem and it still doesnt get fixed. I'll be surprised with the shady nature of the managment if i get any of my security deposit back.

lastly, the location sucks and is extremly unsafe. I have been here over a year unfortunately and they are just now fixing the parking lot lights that used to turn on when you pulled up in your car but flickered off before you got out of your car. girls should not live here alone by any means because of this reason and the community consists of many older wierdo men (one of which I had to call the police on).

and last but not least, my car broke down and my boyfriend pushed it into the closest spot in my complex which (happened to be a visitor spot). I was towed that night and payed 150 dollars to get it out. also my tires were slashed once and later my car was broken into.

overall this has been a horrible experience. If i had a lawyer i would try to sue the complex for the obvious health hazards, below poor conditions, etc. no one should live like this!!!!
