If you purchase one of these units, you must purchase the warantee to go with it. Everything is new when you get it -- paint, carpet, refrigerator, microwave, stove, etc. -- but I've been in the place for about four months and I've already had to replace the garbage disposal and air conditioner. The only other negative is the constant noise level from renovations. I'm sure this will taper off as they get the units all remodeled, but right now, they're out there every morning hammering away (a big minus if you work nights and sleep during daytime hours). Walls are well-insulated. You can hear through your door (but there isn't much outside noise) but never through the walls. I still think it's a little expensive. I have a 1/1.5 condo and I pay more than $500 a month to my mortgage company plus $150 home owners association.
