I moved in back in August 07 and so far have been quite disappointed. Don't get me wrong the place is very convenient to everything you would want or need, but there's a lot to be desired. My wife is a bit o.c.d. with cleaning as am I, but from day one we started noticing things that were falling apart or not working correctly. Two outlets in the bathrooms didn't work until someone came out to fix our thermostat, our closet door has never closed all the way, there are cracks on the walls, the floor is uneven, the seal around the bath tub is cracking and falling out, one of the toilets has cracks in the bowl and it easily gets mildew stains in it if not cleaned thoroughly every other day, the hot water heater is shared by everyone in the building, the light fixture in the kitchen is hanging down, the sliding door is coming apart, they have pest control but we still have pests, there we stains in the carpet, and yes most apartments have thin wall, but I can here almost all of my neighbors talking, singing, and a few other noises I wont comment on, when taking a shower I either get ice cold water freezing me out or I get scalding hot water buring me... Not to mention the ability to keep the place warm or cool is nearly impossible. I can turn the a/c of and not even 10 minutes later its hot as hell in the apartment. And what is screwed up about that is the room my son is stays cold all the time. Asigned parking is okay, but it really all depends on your neighbors. Before the most recent neighbors moved out they either parked in my parking spot or in another neighbors parking spot. Also, the laundry room they have available is sufficient, but rediculous at times... There are quite a few people trying to use the same room all the time. What irks me the most about the laundry room is a pair of my BDU pants that make up my military uniform were stolen out of the laundry room. I stepped out to smoke and when I went back in they we gone and the washer was wide open. The apartment is not responsible for lost or stolen items, but come on! That's government property that someone has stolen on their property, but okay. The other joke about these apartments is the rent! I pay $645 for rent, then a utility fee to the apartment for the gas and water for the laundry room. Both are seperate because the laundry utility fee varies each month whether you use it or not! Overall to live in this apartment I pay roughly 750 to 800 $ a month which leaves me with barely enough to support my family. I could be renting a house back home for that amount if not less. As far as the staff is conscerned they are nice, but lack some motivation to do anything when you report something. I had a situation arise with a neighbor who was blaring their home theater system from atleast 3pm to as late as 1am. I reported that 4 times before walking over to the office to finally get something done about it. The complex overall is not bad if you are single and need a place to stay and most of the families I have seen there seem to be content, but I've also seen atleast 10 people move out since I've been here.
