Tallow Wood (Which Is Not Green Acres) Is A Great Apartment Complex

First, the title of this section is wrong. Tallow Wood and Green Acres are two separate apartments run out of one office, but the way it's listed on this site makes it confusing and hard to find. To be clear, I'm reviewing Tallow Wood, not Green Acres. They have the same management, but Tallow Wood is much newer and quite different.
Second, my wife and I loved the apartment. The staff was very friendly and responded quickly to all our needs. We had a maintenance issue when an upstairs neighbor left the water running and the complex took care of it right away. The apartments weren't huge, but we were newlyweds, so we didn't need anything huge anyway. We left because we had a baby right away and needed a two-bedroom apartment.
Parking was great. They have way more parking spaces than were ever used. Usually, I could park within 15 feet of my door.
Noise wasn't an issue. We occasionally heard the low rumbling of our upstairs neighbor's vacuum, but it wasn't annoying at all. For the most part, is was about as quiet as a library.
The grounds were well-landscaped and the staff took good care of everything.
Safety wasn't a concern of ours. The sheriff has a station about half a mile away and all the units had alarm systems and double locks on each door. The parking lot also seemed pretty safe. We didn't hear of any thefts our whole time there.
Construction wasn't an issue for us at all. The biggest one bedroom available was a bit awkwardly shaped if you didn't have a fireplace, but that was it. A couple of the cupboards were also a bit loose. Otherwise, it was well constructed.
Maintenance wasn't a problem. They responded quickly and with a friendly attitude (we noticed that they're very friendly when you're friendly with them). I could also count the number of bugs I saw on one hand. There weren't many at all and we were on the ground floor.
The staff was great and tried to help us find the best living situation available. I get the impression that some people didn't like them, but I really wonder if those people realize how stressing it can be to work in a job where you have to try to keep a lot of different people happy. I work for a church and it's a royal pain trying to make sure that no one is left out, that you get everything done for everyone who asked you to do something, and that you can keep a smile on your face when everyone is very rudely demanding things from you. I tried always to be nice and polite to the staff at Tallow Wood, understanding the difficulty of their jobs, and found that they responded very well.
Overall, we loved Tallow Wood.
Those were all the pros...and we didn't really have any cons, although I did want to address traffic:
It is right of Airline Dr., which is a mixed blessing; it's very convenient (Walmart, Target, several schools, and tons of restaurants are all close), but it's hard to make a left turn out of the complex during rush hour. All we did was turn right and make a block. A bit out of the way, but really not that bad. It's also great how close the apartment is to I-220. Getting into Shreveport was quick and painless (and I-220 is not even remotely congested, so it was an easy drive).
Overall, I'd say we had a fantastic experience at Tallow Wood.

Its ashamed you and your wife moved out. There are several empty two bedroom apartments available now. Perhaps you might want to move back.

There are clearly problems with noise, etc.
What is the problem with management lately?
What is up with the manager?
And also, Management should of showed a little more consideration for the tenants who lost their units in the fire next door. It really was ashamed when my neighbor told me how management treated them and it was and still is discussed among tenants who still live on property.Yes,Renters insurance is a must have, But for God sake, Management, With there little message on the front of the property newsletter and the way the whole situation was handled. It was not nice and tenants are not renewing leases due to this.We are one of many moving out when our lease is up.

It sounds like the managers need to take responsibility at these Tallow Wood apts.and address all these issues posted on these reviews.

The second response above is really just uncalled for. I don't know much about how the fire issue was handled, and I'll say that it would be good if battery powered smoke detectors are installed in the older buildings, but I really don't know what the management could have done regarding property lost in the fire. Do you expect them to pay for everything? People have to take responsibility for their own actions. If a tenant didn't get renter's insurance, it's not the fault of the company.
To be clear, my original review was for Tallow Wood, so I don't understand what Green Acres has to do with it, aside from having the same management, which is why the apartments should be split up on this website. There may have been noise issues and other problems at Green Acres but I didn't review Green Acres, I reviewed Tallow Wood.

I understand most of the reviews do mention "Tallow Wood" not "Green Acres". There does seem to be a few complaints about "Green Acres". Most current issues do speak of and mention "Tallow Wood" except for one review making a comment about the handling of the situation with the fire at "Green Acres" which is managed also by the same managers who manage "Tallow Wood". It is never mentioned anywhere are even assumed that tenants who suffered damage in the "Green Acres" fire "expected" the complex or management co. to pay for their property.
So lets be clear as you mentioned,These reviews are mostly focused on "Tallow Wood". The website should be split up so that individuals can properly place their reviews and there is no misunderstanding whatsoever. Also, The noise issues that are mentioned in several reviews do clearly state that these problems along with several other problems are at "Tallow Wood", NOT "Green Acres".

Enough about Green Acres. Tallow Wood is mentioned over and over and the reviews are not good.
