We moved down from Ct and my daughter made a trip dowm earlier to find us a place. At the time, The Reserve was a nice place, bur after Katrina is went downhill fast. When we moved out, after 2 years, I did all the thins required by the lease; 30 days notice, filled out in the office with everyone on the staff watching, paid the final month rent with a money order, etc. Only when I never recieved my deposit back, I went by the find out what happened to it. I was told that since we had skipped the last month rent and never gave any notice my deposit was used to pay those costs. I wea outraged, so they finally went through my file, found the 30 day notice and proof of paid rent. They forwarded this to the main office and said they would get back to me. Well, they finally contacted me to tell me I owed more due to "damage" to the apartment. The "damage" was fully documented on my chick-in inspection, but I was being charged. Needless to say, look somewhere else for someplace to live. The staff is lazy, rude and will take you for every penny they can get.
