I must agree with some of the renters concerning the noise. Children don't have a place to play here so they play in the parking lot and the stairwells, this can be quite a disturbance. The gate issue is true! Every weekend the arm of the gate is broken. People who don't know how to use the call box or don't have a pass key to get in, wait in front of the gate for those of us who do have access to get in the gate (when the gate is actually working). Outside of those issues its a decent apartment, clean and nice. I did have something wrong with my air conditioner and the maintenance man came to fix it right away and was very friendly. The price of the apartments is decent when you look at how high the cost of living has risen since Katrina. Overall this is not a bad place to live.

Sounds like things have become better since 1 year ago. I am looking to move there, and didn't much like the amount of time people spent talking about trash and kids. It doesn't sound to me like a "gated" place to live. It does look like it has improved over the last year? Has it???

No. I've lived here the past two years, and the maintenance issue is still a problem: items not fixed correctly, or not knowing how to fix the issue. Items still get stolen or broken from kids/teenagers. The security gate has been broken and unrepaired for the past 9 months so anyone can access the premises. I'm in the front, so many a time I've seen wanderers. I personally don't recommend but ultimately it's your call.
