Way too much money - not enough service and amenities

We have been living here for several years. Over the years the problems have been varied. Last summer the teenagers from other neighborhoods, police activity, screeching cars, pool parties and even one incident involving a gun was at the top of the list.
The latest management does not maintain the pool at all in the summer - it is always green and pretty disgusting. The entry gate is a constant issue although it appears some have tired of plowing through it as much. There should be security cameras pointed AT THE GATE to catch the culprits as well as replacing it with a metal to deter the foolish dragsters.
The front apts get much more maintenance attention than the ones in the back, probably due to sales location - you can see that just by looking around and seeing the debris (which doesn't say alot for the caliber of tenants in the back littering in the manner they do - can we say ashtray and garbage can on your terrace'). I also think there are more teenagers in the back apts as that is where the 3bdr apts are.
In addition, although mgt responds in a timely matter to repairs, they are never permanent - we often have called on the same issue over and over - replacing parts or even systems sooner would be more practical than constant repair (garbage disposal, camode and shower issues, etc. )
Unfortunately the apt choices in DS are very slim and the others are just as high in price. I think that over $1K for a 3 bedroom is high but the cost of renting a house is more and comes with even more problems.
So, for the moment we stay. The issues fluctuate in severity as with any neighborhood and condensed community I am sure.
