Parking is very ample, lighting is great, feels very safe.
There is minimal noise, sometimes with the interstate being close you get annoyed with passing motorcycles, etc..
The upkeep and landscaping are beautiful.
Construction has moderate flaws. The one bedroom apartment we live in has 2 doors that connect the bedroom and bathroom that hit and trap each other so that you cannot open one without first closing the other. REALLY bad design and at first was slightly annoying but now it is really painful and frustrating. Also the bathtub is inches from the toilet. Who wants to bath while someone is sitting inches away on the toilet' Also, I am not fat but if I was the small cramped toilet space would be a problem. I guess there solution is to run on the 1 mile joggin track around the lake! :) The living room in our 1 bedroom is shaped so that you cannot possibly get a good configuration and flow. (all this is with the one floorplan I have experienced) Other appliances etc.. are really nothing super special.
Maintainence staff is great, fix everything immediately and CORRECT the FIRST TIME. Thank you god!
Staff are the most friendly out of any place I have lived. They are all nice and very helpful. Not to mention, they are all beautiful super model ladies! Must be a requirement - Haha!
The main problem we have is that I feel the rent is too high. After the hurricane it raised 200.00! That is crazy! I am paying 950.00 per month for the smallest one bedroom apartment possible (increased by the fact that I am right by the lake). I have lived in 2 other apartment complexes. I was in Baton Rouge at live oaks paying 675.00 for a bigger, nicer, decked out apartment that we loved, but unfortunately had to move from. They offered everything fountain lake does except the lake and the "putting green" which is not so good. (I hate golf anyway). A few miles down the interstate there is another apartment complex with a lake that is comparative to fountain lake but charges 740.00 for a 1 bedroom. I feel that they are charging whatever they want because its the only decent apartment in Gonzales, and rightfully so, but I don't feel 950.00 is a reasonable price. If it was around 850.00 I feel that would be reasonable.

sounds like you have been ripped off. Lakeside Oaks is less than that for a 2 bedroom and the apartments are much nicer. It is also in Gonzales!

If you look at the cost for your square footage it is a good deal compared to the nice apartments in Baton Rouge. 1170 sqft for a 2 bedroom is big. It is a quiet complex and you are paying for your neighbors... I dont want anyone living next to me that cannot afford a nice place. It keeps the trash out.
