Carlyle

 

I wish I'd read the previous reviews before moving into Carlyle.

There are some good things: the apartments are nice, and the grounds are well maintained.

The maintenance guys are really friendly.

I agree with the security issue.

The gate is broken frequently.

There are also some wild ones living in the complex.

People play their music in their cars loudly and speed through the lot.

My family made the mistake of going for an evening swim, and caught some hanky-panky going on in the pool more than once.

But, I've been fortunate not to experience the violence the previous reviewers did.

I'm so thankful for that, and sorry that the others went through these things.

My biggest complaint is the staff.

The office people are horrendous! One of the security guards (a male) is not dependable.

And one of the members of the leasing staff is just unfriendly and downright nasty.

This is a particularly hard pill to swallow, considering the amount of rent we shell out each month!

Oh yeah, they're sweet until you move in, and then, as soon as you do, they're leaving nastygrams on your door for everytime you sneeze and one of them hears it.

My advice: find someplace less expensive, but safe, and save your money for a house! Interest rates are down.

It's not worth feeling uncomfortable in your own home!
