Gates still do not work, and this is 2006.
Repairs do not get made.
The water marks on my ceiling just keep growing, makes one wonder if the building is even safe.
The rudest people I have ever met work in the office here.
They have not made any repairs (pool not open, niot sure when/if it will, no fitness center but they don't tell you any of this when you sign your lease.
Dumsters overflowing with trash that then spreads into the parking lot and all over complex.
appliances that don't work or left over from Katrina (such as fridge).
Go elsewhere, not worth the money and trouble.
And I'm pretty sure that I won't be getting my deposit back due to the walls need painting, needs new carpet (all of which was already here when I moved in.
Plus, there are no fireplaces any longer, all closed up.

Carlyle Apartments Management would like to take this opportunity to respond. All resident sign an "Under Construction Addendum" at move in. It is explained that the property is under construction, meaning some ammenities are currently not available and that at times, the property may not be as clean as it would be under normal circumstances. Our 1st priority is making apartments ready for people who need homes. The pools and fitness center are not a priority, at this time. However, they should be available within the next 30 to 45 days. Except for the occasional hiccup, the entrance and exit gates are and have been working properly. If you are aware of something that we are not, please notify the office of the specifics, so that it can be handled accordingly. At move in, we ask ALL residents to breakdown their boxes and place them inside the dumpsters. Unfortunately, this is not happening. Residents and moving companies are throwing boxes inside the dumpsters, which quickly fills them. We also ask residents that if the dumpster nearest their building is full, to please walk to the next dumpster with their trash. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world and instructions are not always followed. Residents place their trash bags on the ground next to the dumpsters and the result is trash blowing around the property. OUR STAFF WORKS VERY HARD TO KEEP THE GROUNDS CLEAN. We are trying to find a company that will pick up old refrigerators. It is VERY difficult, as these companies are inundated with calls to pick up old appliances. We are open for calls from anyone who may have information regarding old appliance pickup. 99% of our units received new carpet and all apartments were painted. If you have water marks on your ceiling, it is very important that you call the office to place a work order. Maintenance needs to come into your unit to inspect for a possible leak. The office and maintenance staff are working very hard, often times until 8:00pm and on weekends to make units ready for the many families who need homes. I am sorry if you feel that anyone on our staff has spoken rudely to you. I would like to thank you for voicing your concerns and invite you to personally call the office to speak with me or anyone on our Management Team. Our residents happiness is of the utmost importance and customer service is a high priority with Carlyle Apartments. We encourage our employees to develop pride in their work and to be customer oriented. Thank you. Connie Bowers (Area Manager) |
