They advertise so many Amenities but you honestly don't get any of those things like the pool is okay, however, it's small and really no secluded from the public area. Also, the rent goes up every year consistently and you don't any new carpet or other additions to your apartment with that rent increase. You must have a home phone in order to utilize the Security System. Overall the people are nice and quiet and seem to be okay with the exception of the constant rent increase.

Hey Anonymous! That's a popular name around here, lol! Thank you, not only for staying with us for over two years, but for taking the time to write a review. This not only helps new renters, but it helps us at Lion's Way to improve. Like many of the other reviews, I wish you could have felt comfortable coming to the leasing office to discuss some of your concerns. We love our little pool and are glad you liked it to. It is set back behind some apartment buildings by the leasing office. It's a great place to hang out and tan or just relax floating around all afternoon. In regards to the monitored intrusion alarm point that you made, thank you. We had no idea that the way we were advertising that feature was in a way that could be misunderstood. Since then, we have changed the way we advertise that feature. Now we just offer intrusion alarms and explain to new residents how they can get it monitored for free. Your final concern was rent increases with no additional benefits. I know price increases for anything is always hard to deal with and are sometimes inconvenient. Our rental rates are an immediate reflection of the Hammond housing market. Meaning, sometimes the rent goes up a little bit and sometimes it goes down a little bit. For the past few years, our renewing residents have seen their rent stay the same. We always strive to make sure all of our residents are happy and satisfied. So if you were unhappy with your carpet and you were renewing, we would have offered you a free carpet clean. If you were unhappy with the lighting in your bathrooms, we would have replaced the lighting in your bathrooms. Bottom line I guess is that we try to do everything in our power and within the guidelines of the law to make our residents happy. It's never too late to come talk to us and give us some more good ideas, friend. Stop by the office and we can talk more over some cookies and a coke. Thanks again-- LWA Property Director
